The answer to your eternal destiny can be found in God's Word.

The Bible says in I John 5:13, "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

First, you must realize that you are a sinner.

Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" This means no one is perfect. We have all done things that are wrong.

Second, you must realize that there is a penalty you owe for your sin.

Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death:" This death is described in the Bible as the "second death," the lake of fire. Revelation 20:14 says, "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." If we received what we deserve for our sins, we would have to go to Hell, the lake of fire.

Third, you must believe that Jesus Christ paid your sin debt for you.

Romans 5:8 says, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Despite our sins that separated us from God, He loved us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for us. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead, paying for our sins.

Fourth, you must trust Christ alone as your Saviour.

In Ephesians 2:8–9 the Bible says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”  This simply means that there is nothing we can do to get ourselves to Heaven.

Romans 6:23 says, "the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Eternal life in Heaven is a gift purchased by the blood of Jesus and offered freely to those who call upon Him by faith. If you want to accept this gift of Heaven, you can do so now simply by asking the Lord for it. We can help you with some words, but realize it is not a prayer that saves you; it is your faith in Jesus Christ.

Dear Jesus, I know that I'm a sinner. I know that if I had to pay for my own sin I would have to go to Hell, but I believe that You died and rose from the dead for me. I am trusting You now to be my Saviour, and to take me to Heaven when I die. Amen.
